Our
Home
My parents bought a home in North Beach over 20 years ago. We spent hours on the beach, making crazy dinners with fresh seafood and playing board games until all hours. Some of my happiest memories were made in that house. And then we had to sell it.

A few months later, my husband asked me where I wanted to spend my Thanksgiving birthday, and the only option was LBI. We rented a home on Barnegat Light, a town we would seldom visit except to bring visitors to the lighthouse and to go shopping at the boutique clothing store, "Wild Flowers by the Sea.". Our grandchildren chased each other through the paths to the ocean, ran up the dunes, and climbed the slides at the park. We recreated the family dinners, drank wine, and watched the fishermen travel the inlet chasing the striped bass. And sometime mid-week, I realized my car keys had not left the counter, and we could walk everywhere. I called the realtor.

The timing couldn't have been worse—we were in COVID. Bidding wars were rampant, pushing prices to unprecedented heights, while inspections and appraisals had disappeared. So when the realtor called a week later with a listing far beyond our budget, we didn’t hesitate. In just 15 minutes, we made an offer.
Today, we open the doors to families looking to recharge by enjoying the simple activities of a summer vacation. Enjoy uncrowded beaches, seafood directly off the boat, and night walks under the lighthouse. I tell my husband, "It is our home that we sometimes rent."
